It was a tremendous time of equipping, inspiration, and encouragement. Black people gathered from all over, but from primarily Oregon and Washington, to learn from each other, and to spur success for Black people in their food/farm endeavors.
All in all, it was a beautiful example of us coming together. It wasn’t hard to find at work the important principles of self-determination (#kujichagulia), collective work and responsibility (#ujima), faith (#imani), cooperative economics (#ujamaa), purpose (#nia), creativity (#kuumba) and especially unity (#umoja).
One of the best groups we have had the honor of supporting and partnering with. Our eternal thanks go out to the Coalition, the Council, the BTTR Steering committee, all the participants, sponsors and volunteers.
