The Teaching with Purpose Conference provides information, tools and materials relating to culturally responsive teaching. The Conference aims to address legislation relating to culturally responsive education in Oregon and around the country. The lack of multicultural education limits learning and perpetuates inequities in and outside the classroom. Oregon has equity policies, but they don’t have any accountability. Policy is designed to protect us. We have a very short window of opportunity to build a strong case to set up an accountability system that has the potential to give our community a voice.
