As a research-driven and an urban-social enterprise, Design+Culture Lab utilizes empowerment, cultural research, participation, and positive change to build toward a vision where unique and holistic collaborative designs are viewed as vital to the success of the overall urban design. Design+Culture Lab’s focus is to involve community members in the transformation of the material environment; their cities, their neighborhoods, their blocks. We promote the active engagement of populations that have traditionally been under-served so they may become empowered to create positive change.
