City of Roses Disposal & Recycling

City of Roses Disposal & Recycling is a dedicated leader in the truest sense of the term sustainability. Over the past 20 years, we have prided ourselves on the root meaning of customer service and have been fully committed to fulfilling any and all of our customer needs. We have continued to stand by what it truly means to be sustainable.

We practice social responsibility by reaching out to the local community first when we have employment opportunities, economically saving our customers time and costs which would have otherwise been exhausted. We have excelled environmentally by ensuring that discarded waste has its greatest potential of either being reduced, reused or recycled.

Additionally, City of Roses Disposal & Recycling provides sustainable value to organizations by reducing, reusing or recycling more waste than our competitors. As a result, this benefit reduces our customer’s costs and maximizes profits through material rebates.

Core Recycling

CORE Recycling (CORE) is a division of the City of Roses Disposal & Recycling operation. CORE is a licensed Material Recovery Facility (MRF) that accepts dry waste and construction & demolition (C&D) debris. Aside from striving to be a leading recycling facility in the Portland Metro area when it comes to recovery rates, CORE has also obtained its very own niche in the recycling marketplace. CORE Recycling has fashioned a reliable and sustainable waste recovery/recycling process, which enables the organization to serve and fulfill the requirements of the United States Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Efficient Design (LEED) Materials and Resources, Construction Waste Management Credit.

In a city where Sustainability has become a part of the overall culture, CORE Recycling intends to add needed value to the City of Portland’s morale of sustaining itself for future generations to come. As Portland strives to become the “Most Sustainable City in the World” CORE as well will be positioning itself to become the most sustainable MRF in the world. CORE’s aspirations are destined to hire employees from a variety of diverse backgrounds, provide livable wage jobs and commit itself to assisting the Metro region of achieving its waste recovery goal of 64% and beyond.
